Member for Bellarine, Lisa Neville today announced a $75,000 grant from the new Regional Co working Spaces and Creative Places program to Point Lonsdale based Lighthouse Arts Collective.
The grant will fund the extension of existing creative space within the Point Lonsdale Uniting Church to transform the remainder of the church building into a multi disciplinary creative space, housing artist studios, a co working space and artisan pop up shop and café.
Managed by Creative Victoria, the Regional Coworking Spaces and Creative Places program is a pilot initiative that will support organisations across regional Victoria to establish new creative hubs or breathe life into creative sites for the benefit of practitioners, local communities and visitors.
The Lighthouse Arts Collective is one of 13 regional organisations that will share in $831,211 in funding through the new program.
