Neville Welcomes Significant Bellarine Budget Funding

Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville has welcomed significant State Budget funding across the Bellarine Peninsula.

Ms Neville said a much welcomed $1 million upgrade to the Leopold Tennis Club will see redeveloped clubrooms, including new  toilets, kitchen facilities, changerooms and will ensure the club is accessible to all.

In addition, the St Leonards Bowls Club will benefit from $250,000 towards the replacement of their greens , providing better playing surface for the whole community to enjoy, Ms Neville said.

The much loved and historic Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Reserve will  be provided with further funding of  $1 million  for its  ongoing restoration works, she added

Ms Neville said Cherished Pets in Ocean Grove provides an important service for local vulnerable people and their pets  and $465,000 will ensure the organisations work is provided with the support it so deserves.

Across the Bellarine important road upgrades continue to be funded with $3.3 million to upgrade the Bellarine Highway,  Moolap Station Road intersection and $5.29 million for a new round about at Barwon Heads, Black Rock and Staceys Road intersection, Ms Neville said.  

And of course all Bellarine families will benefit from Budgets significant health expenditure, like the $500 million for stage one and stage two of the Barwon Women’s and Children’s Hospital  development and a new cancer radiotherapy linear accelerator at Barwon Health, Ms Neville concluded.
