St Leonards Bowling Club Budget Win

St Leonards Bowling Club was a major winner out of the recent State Budget being served up $250,000 for a major upgrade of the popular club.

The funding will be used to provide the club with a refurbishment of their facilities, including much needed modern toilet and change room facilities, shade, storage and improved access to the facility so that it will be accessible for all.

Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville in welcoming the announcement said that the St Leonards Bowling Club had been an important part of the community for many years and this funding will secure its future for decades to come.

This supportive club, with over 150 active members, welcomes all levels of experience from social bowlers to pennant players. It continues to be popular for all, despite the need for upgrades of its facilities, Ms Neville said.

As such, I was pleased to work with the club in securing this State Budget funding that will bring the next stages of their Masterplan to reality, Ms Neville added.

I congratulate the St Leonards Bowling Club and their Board of Management for initiating their Masterplan and completing stage 1, their recently installed all weather green, as, this will ensure the club has the facilities it needs for their growing community for many years, Ms Neville said.

The club can now look forward to the design phase and upgrade works commencing soon and in the not too distant future enjoying the first class facilities they deserve, Ms Neville concluded.
