WINTER SOL FEST TO BOOST THE COAST’S CALENDAR
The Andrews Labor Government is providing $30,000 funding a new festival for Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale.
Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville announced today the Winter Sol Fest will feature on the coastal towns’ calendars from next year, bringing visitors at what is a traditionally quieter winter period.
Held in June, the Winter Sol Fest will invite artists, musicians, performers and local food and wine producers to create an indulgent festival of soul-warming entertainment and experiences.
Illuminated sculptures and light projections linking with the towns’ significant historical and maritime pasts will be a key feature of the programs.
Our $20 million Regional Events Fund is helping rural and regional communities all over Victoria stage and secure the events that drive visitation and showcase the best of everything the regions offer.
Regional Victoria has something for everyone, and we want everyone to experience it for themselves. Our Wander Victoria tourism marketing campaign is showcasing the great treasures all over the state.
The Winter Sol Fest runs from June 2 – 18 next year.
