BIGGER, BETTER SPORTING FACILITIES FOR LEOPOLD

Families across Leopold will be able to rely on great local sporting facilities, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to deliver $225,000 for Estuary Reserve.

Under a re-elected Labor Government, an investment of $225,000 will go towards new lighting, allowing local clubs to train and play at night.

The new lights will benefit local teams, including FC Leopold and the Leopold Cricket Club.

With these upgrades from a re-elected Labor Government, local clubs – and this local community – will have the great sporting facilities they deserve.

The commitment builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s investment in local sport, including over $8 million for the Drysdale Sports Precinct upgrade and the recent $200,000 for new lighting at Collendina Sports Ground as part of Pick My Project.

While the Liberals cut funding for hospitals and schools, and closed TAFE campuses – only Labor will invest in the projects our community really needs.

The Labor Government has made the biggest investment in grassroots sporting opportunities in Victoria’s history, with $420 million dedicated to community sports.
