The Ocean Grove Surf Lifesaving Club will soon have the modern and safe facilities they need to help protect the community, thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville attended the Club’s annual presentation night to congratulate lifesaving volunteers on their successful grants under the $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability (ESVS) program.

Ocean Grove SLSC will receive $271,877 in funding for the construction of a new patrol tower.

This is in addition to the $2.675m the Labor Government has delivered for the refurbishment of the Ocean Grove SLSC, which includes a major overhaul for the clubrooms and facility.

Ms Neville said she was a proud advocate for this project which will provide local lifesaving volunteers the clubhouse and patrol tower they deserve.

The fit-for-purpose clubhouse and patrol tower will ensure that it can cater to the fast-growing population in the Bellarine region; a project that the entire community can be proud of.
